American Idol 13 Top 11 Song Theme: Songs From The Movies



EMILY PIRIZ IS ELIMINATED ON “AMERICAN IDOL XIII”  TOP 11 FINALISTS TAKE THE STAGE IN A MOVIE SOUNDTRACK-THEMED SHOW WEDNESDAY, MARCH 12, ON FOX

 IDOL Judge Harry Connick, Jr. to Perform Medley and Singer/Songwriter Mali Music Also to Perform on Next Results Show

Airing at a New Time on Thursday, March 13, at 9:00 PM

Emily Piriz was eliminated tonight on AMERICAN IDOL XIII, after Piriz received the fewest of the more than 70 million votes. From Orlando, FL, the 18-year-old sang “Let’s Get Loud” on last night’s “Home”-themed performance show. In addition, on tonight’s results show, AMERICAN IDOL Season 11 winner Phillip Phillips returned to the IDOL stage with his new single, “Raging Fire” and Irish rock band Kodaline performed their hit, “All I Want.”

Next week, on Wednesday, March 12 (8:00-10:00 PM ET live/PT tape-delayed), the Top 11 –Ben Briley, C.J. Harris, Jena Irene, Caleb Johnson, Jessica Meuse, MK Nobilette, Alex Preston, Dexter Roberts, Majesty Rose, Malaya Watson and Sam Woolf – will perform songs on the “Soundtrack to our Lives”-themed performance show. Song selections will come from the contestants’ favorite movies.

On the next live results show airing at a new time, Thursday, March 13 (9:00-10:00 PM ET live/PT tape-delayed), tune in to find out who will be sent home. Plus, multi-talented musician, singer, songwriter and the newest judge on AMERICAN IDOL XIII, Harry Connick, Jr., will perform a medley, and singer/songwriter Mali Music also will perform.
