Roselyn Sanchez, Raul Gonzalez & Laura Flores To Host 2014 Billboard Latin Music Awards

Miami – April 15, 2014 – The 2014 Billboard Latin Music Awards presented by State Farm®, the longest-running and most prestigious Latin music awards show, will be hosted by beloved TV personality, Raul Gonzalez; Puerto Rican actress, producer, model, singer and songwriter, Roselyn Sanchez; and legendary Mexican actress, singer and TV host Laura Flores. The 2014 Billboard Latin Music Awards presented by State Farm® will be produced and broadcast live by Telemundo, Thursday, April 24 at 7pm/6c from the BankUnited Center at the University of Miami in Florida. The complete list of finalists, in addition to exclusive content about this year’s event, can be found at Telemundo.com/PremiosBillboard.  Fans can follow the excitement via:  Facebook.com/LatinBillboards, Twitter.com/LatinBillboards and Instagram.com/LatinBillboards, using #Billboards2014.

Puerto Rican actress, producer, model, singer and songwriter Roselyn Sanchez returns to host the Billboard Latin Music Awards for a second time, having co-hosted the show in 2003 alongside Carlos Ponce and Miguel Varoni. Sanchez made her movie debut in 1992 with “Captain Ron,” filmed in Puerto Rico, starring Martin Short and Kurt Russell. Her break on TV came the same year as she co-hosted the variety show “Qué Vacilón.” A year later she won the Miss Puerto Rico Petite contest, and in 1994 she won the international title of Miss American Petite. Her extensive Hollywood career includes acting roles in blockbusters “Rush Hour 2,” “Boat Trip,” “The Game Plan,” and “Act of Valor,” among many others. On TV she personified FBI agent Elena Delgado in “Without a Trace,” and recently as Carmen Luna in the Lifetime comedy-drama “Devious Maids.” In music, Sanchez earned a Latin Grammy nomination for "Amor Amor" in 2003, the first single of her first album.

The multi-talented and dynamic Hispanic television star Raul Gonzalez recently joined Telemundo to develop and host a new variety series and will contribute to multiple series and specials. He will make his debut on the network co-hosting the Billboard Latin Music Awards. A 36-year veteran of the entertainment industry, Gonzalez began his career in children’s theater in his native Caracas. In his early twenties, he hosted a kids’ TV show, “Supercropolis,” and in 1994 he moved to Miami. In 2001, Gonzalez became one of the hosts of Univision’s “Despierta America,” where he stayed for 13 years. He also had the honor to co-host the variety show, “Sabado Gigante” on multiple occasions. Gonzalez has written, produced and starred in several award winning plays such as: “Visa por un Sueño” and “Gordura de mi Vida” to sold out audiences across the country. A prolific television writer, producer and host, Gonzalez has been named “Best Television Host” twice by People en Español.

Following a successful participation in the telenovela "En Otra Piel,” Laura Flores has joined the cast of "Reina de Corazones.” In her second production for Telemundo, the chameleonic Mexican actress will take on an acting challenge to embody a complex character. With a long acting resume in telenovelas, theatre and cinema, Laura Flores has also excelled hosting television programs such as "La rueda de la fortuna" and the morning show “Hoy.” Musically speaking, Laura Flores began her career with her siblings, in the musical group "Hermanos y Amigos." She has recorded 16 albums; the latest, "Desde mi Corazon," celebrates 35 years of her music career and includes four songs dedicated to her children, two Christian songs, and her own hit songs from the 80´s and 90´s like "Ya no volvere ", "Lo que me tiene aqui " and "Te felicito." The album also includes three duets and is accompanied by 11 videos.

The awards show is preceded by the red carpet special “La Alfombra de los Premios Billboard” featuring a constellation of music and TV stars, hosted this year by Telemundo personalities Monica Noguera and Rashel Diaz, with Jorge Bernal of La Voz Kids and Suelta la Sopa, Guadalupe Venegas of Telemundo, and Karim Mendiburu from Titulares y mas; with fashion commentary by Guest “Fashionista” Christian Ramirez and Special Guest Kika Rocha.

The 2014 Billboard Latin Music Awards presented by State Farm® will feature music performances by Latin pop icon, Chayanne; the biggest-selling salsa artist of all time, Marc Anthony; Bachata singer and returning coach on Telemundo’s La Voz Kids, Prince Royce; 2014 Billboard Hall of Fame Award recipient, Franco de Vita; 2014 Billboard Lifetime Achievement Award honoree, Andrea Bocelli; Global Pop music star, Laura Pausini; International superstar, Ricky Martin; Spanish Pop singer, David Bisbal; Colombian singer and songwriter, Juanes; The Voice of Pop Luis Fonsi; legendary Mexican music band, La Arrolladora Banda El Limon De Rene Camacho; and the “Mother of all bands,” Banda El Recodo De Cruz Lizárraga.

The awards show culminates the Billboard Latin Music Conference presented by State Farm® in Association with Pepsi, taking place on April 21 - 24 at the JW Marriot Marquis in Miami, Florida. Celebrating its 25th anniversary, the Conference is the longest-running and most prestigious event in the world dedicated to Latin music.
